Department
Applied Science Department
The staff members in applied science department impart instructions in the subjects of communication skills, mathematics, physics and chemistry to the students of various disciplines for the first two semesters. The department looks after the interests of the students completely in the first year of their studies. The staffs endeavor its best to promote all round development of the students. It takes keen interest in developing their communication skills. There are five branches in this department- CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, COMPUTER, ECE. The intake in every branch is 60 students. The course is aimed to provide students excellent theoretical and practice knowledge and elementary design aspects. The department has well trained, committed and experienced faculty who are capable to teach the various theoretical and practical aspects of prescribed subjects by using advanced pedagogic methodologies. The department has all equipment & facilities for conducting various experiments, exercises and projects as per diploma curriculum of Haryana State Board of Technical Education, Panchkula. Expert lectures are arranged by calling experts from industry relating to their subjects and also from other organizations to make the students aware of the current activities of the world. Staff members are sent to attend the various seminars and training programs on continuous basis for upgrading their theoretical and practical knowledge of the latest technology

Infrastructure
The department has three high end infrastructure laboratories. The department has fully equipped Physics and Chemistry lab along with all lab manuals. For better communication and to nourish the personality of students, department has a modern language lab along with digital language lab software.

  • To monitor the student progress internal assessment examinations are taken apart from regular class tests.
  • Subject wise assignments, real time case studies and projects are given to the students to enhance their knowledge.

Civil Engineering Department
The institute took a plunge into the immensely refreshing and challenging field of Civil Engineering with the setting up of the Civil Engineering Department, right from the genesis of the college. The Department of Civil Engineering is excellently suited to meet the ever changing requirements of engineers with courses that combine the study of management, business skills and computers with engineering. The department ensures not only that the courses are updated, but also that they reflect the current needs of commerce, industry and the society as a whole.

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline. Civil engineering takes place on all levels: in the public sector from municipal through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies. Our program has been designated to provide our students with strong fundamental skills complemented by professional skills and generic skills’ although we have miles to go; we need to celebrate each and every mile stone in order to go ahead with added enthusiasm

Computer Engineering
The department offers 3 year regular course leading to Diploma in Computer Engineering, awarded by Haryana State Board of Technical Education, Panchkula. The department has been providing an excellent teaching and learning environment since its inception. The intake of the course is 60 students. The course is aimed to provide students excellent theoretical and practice knowledge of computer operation, maintenance and elementary design aspects of computer. The department has well trained, committed and experienced faculty who are capable to teach the various theoretical and practical aspects of computer by using advanced pedagogic methodologies. The department has all equipment & facilities for conducting various experiments, exercises and projects as per diploma curriculum of Haryana State Board of Technical Education, Panchkula. Students of final and pre final year are taken to various industrial visits to make them aware of the various activities of the World of Work. Expert lectures are arranged by calling experts from industry relating to computer and also from other organizations to make the students aware of the current activities of the world. Staff members are sent to attend the various seminars and training programs on continuous basis for upgrading their theoretical and practical knowledge of the latest technology. Staff members are also involved in designing & revision of curriculum. The diploma holders of this course finds employment in various Government, Public & Private Enterprises, Small scale & Large scale industries of Computer like Desktop & Laptop Assembly, Web Designing, Networking, Software Development and Testing etc.

Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications.

Electrical engineering may include electronic engineering. Where a distinction is made, usually outside of the United States, electrical engineering is considered to deal with the problems associated with large-scale electrical systems such as power transmission and motor control, whereas electronic engineering deals with the study of small-scale electronic systems including computers and integrated circuits, Alternatively, electrical engineers are usually concerned with using electricity to transmit energy, while electronic engineers are concerned with using electricity to transmit information. More recently, the distinction has become blurred by the growth of power electronics.

Electrical Engineering is one of the fastest growing fields that involves study and application of electricity and electronics. It is the most interesting branch of engineering because it involves study of computer, electrical and electronics and communication. Electrical engineering deals with generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.

Electrical Engineers are much in demand in India. In the recent years, from house to companies every where there is a necessity of electricity to function, offering numerous opportunities to electrical engineers.

These engineers can work in atomic power plants, hydel or thermal power plants. Job opportunities are ample in both private and public sector like railways, civil aviation, electricity board and utility companies, electrical design and consultancy firms and all types of manufacturing industries.

After getting a degree in electrical engineering, they can also go into teaching field or join a research lab. Teaching career is also rewarding, with job in top engineering colleges of India offers attractive remuneration packages.

Companies like ABB, Bajaj International Private Ltd, Crompton Greaves Limited, Siemens Ltd, Reliance Power Ltd, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Coal India Limited (CIL), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), Centre for Electronics Design and Technology and Wipro Lighting are the biggest employers hiring Electrical Engineers.

Today, electrical engineers are much in demand due to the rising demand for electrical energy, the growth of audio and visual communication systems and automation in the industry.

An Electrical Engineer is expected to undertake the following duties:
  • Design and develop more efficient electrical machinery
  • Control Equipment for electricity generation
  • Guide and organize manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing to assure conformation with specifications, codes and customer requisites.
  • Transmission and distribution of electrical energy and telecommunication.
The job profile may differ from company to company. However, in general an electrical engineer is expected to do the above tasks.

Electronics and Communication Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering is an ever growing industry in today’s digital scenario It is due to Electronics engineers that we enjoy such modern communication devices as cellular telephones, radios and television. The graduates & post graduates are qualified for professional practice or to work in several areas of specialization. We prepare students as professional engineers through an education in fundamental principles presented in the context of real application and design. The program provides a solid background in Devices & Circuits, Analog & Digital Communication and in all fields of engineering and also in daily life.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was established in 2014 with an intake of 60 students.

The department has well equipped laboratories to provide the students with the necessary and sufficient background of practical knowledge, besides encouraging them to try out their innovative research and development ideas, these laboratories provide facilities in the areas of

Experts from the industry are periodically invited to give lectures/demonstrations to the students on the latest developments in the field. Students are given exposure to industries by industrial visits and industrial training session. Students undertake training in reputed industries .The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is committed to providing quality professional education to aspiring engineers. Mechanical Engineering
  • In Mechanical Engineering Department, total students intake is 60 and in 2nd Year, 10% of total intake through Lateral entry. Students are admitted through online counseling conducted by HSTES as per eligibility.
  • Mechanical Engineering students are placed in reputed companies like Subros, Apollo Tyres, Tata Motors, Suave Automotive Industries.
  • The department has well qualified, fully motivated and dedicated faculty.
  • Department equipped with latest machineries like Lathe Machine, Milling Machine, Radial Drilling Machine, CNC Lathe, CNC Milling and Laboratory like Applied Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Material & Metallurgy, Internal Combustion Engine, Automobile Engg..
  • Industrial Tour/ Visit are organized for Mechanical Engg. students for exposure to industrial environment.
