The institute campus is spread over an area of 15.5 acres adjacent to the 220KVA HVPN Sub-Station and opposite to New Grain Market, Cheeka at a distance of 3.0 KM (approx.) from Cheeka on the Cheeka-Kaithal road in Kaithal District.
Guru Gobind Singh Government Polytechnic Education Society, Cheeka was set up from the academic session 2006-07 with Diploma in Computer Engineering with sanctioned intake of 40 students and their guest classes were started at GBN Government Polytechnic, Nilokheri. From academic session 2009-10, the institute started functioning in its own campus at Cheeka in September, 2009.
At present, the institute is running a total of 5 nos. of diploma courses, which are: • CIVIL ENGG. • COMPUTER ENGG. • ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGG. • Electrical ENGG. • MECHANICAL ENGG. • Applied Sciences The polytechnic has been functioning under the society mode. The society in the name and style of “Government Polytechnic Education Society Cheeka, Kaithal” was got registered under Society Act 1860 through District Register of Firms & Societies.
Government Polytechnic Cheeka(Kaithal) is a GOVT. Institute which is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and is affiliated to Haryana State Board of Technical Education (HSBTE), Panchkula.
